Today we celebrated the Chinese New Year with a lantern and dragon dance around our outdoor space, listening to Chinese music. Our dragon is resting quietly on our front verandah.
The children in both rooms have enthusiastically been learning about rituals which happen around the Chinese New Year period.
We have a video of our lantern and dragon dance playing on the tv in our entrance.
It has been a wonderful experience, connecting with family culture, exploring cultural rituals and eating some yummy noodles for lunch. A day we will all remember.

SERVICE CLOSURE Monday 12th January 2026

After much discussion and consideration for child and staff safety and wellbeing we will close tomorrow the 12th January 2026.

As we are still within the advice fire warning area and listed on the Department of Education Risk of Grassfire - Category 4 we feel its the safest option.

Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating
Due to being notified of tomorrow 9th January 2026 being declared a Catastrophic Fire Danger Day the centre will be closed as we are listed on the Department of Education Risk of Grassfire - Category 4.
