We have two fantastic events coming up for all our fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and father-figures to celebrate Father's Day.
On Thursday 3rd September we have a Father's Day Activity Afternoon over at the church from 4:30pm to 6pm. Come together for some fun activities and quality time.
On Sunday 6th September we have a Car and Bike Show after the 10am church service. You are welcome to enter your special car or bike for display or just come along to have a sticky beak!

We hope to see you at these events as we honour the fathers and father-figures in our lives.

While handprint crafts are cute and colouring in is convenient, process art is where the real magic happens in early childhood creative development.
Many children can form the belief that they aren't artistic or "good enough" if their craft doesn't look the same as the adult's example. These beliefs are often carried throughout childhood and even into adulthood. Process art has no "wrong" outcome, no failure attached, because it is purely about exploring art making however the child likes. It removes the pressure of comparison and allows true creativity and imagination to flourish.

Little hands reaching out for that extra bit of help, support or guidance is one of the great privileges of being an early childhood educator. It says "I trust you. You are my safe place. Please be with me while I learn this skill."

Scooping, filling, pouring, emptying...these patterns of play are foundational to early childhood. They give insight into early scientific and mathematical concepts as well as sensory and physical development.
