Join us for an evening of dance, creativity and celebration as we showcase the incredible work of our HSC Dance students and celebrate their journey throughout the year.

Heron Island week is finally here! We hope our Year 11 students and staff attending enjoy the week! The final week of Year 12 Trial Exams is upon us. Drama projects are due Monday for external submission, and our HSC Music students across all three courses will present their Major Work programs for Trial HSC assessment and feedback.

🎨🌟 Young Archie Success for CHSC Graduates! 🌟🎨

We’re thrilled to celebrate the success of two of our 2025 CHSC graduates, Edyn and Zoe, who entered works in the 2026 Young Archie Coffs Harbour Prize.

🏆 Edyn was named the winner of the 16–18 years age category for her beautiful portrait, My Littlest Friend.

Inspired by her young nephew, Edyn’s work captures the special experience of watching a younger child grow up before her eyes. She describes him as “endlessly curious and always on the move” and reflects that there is much she can learn from her littlest friend.

👏 Zoe received a Highly Commended for her work, Portrait of Dad.

Zoe’s deeply personal portrait celebrates her dad as an incredible role model who has encouraged her to follow her dreams, embrace her creativity and, most importantly, stay true to herself.

We are incredibly proud to see Edyn and Zoe continuing to pursue their creative talents beyond their time at CHSC. Congratulations to you both on this wonderful recognition! 💙🎨

🏛️🎤 Our Students Have Their Say at NSW Parliament Regional Roadshow

Recently, four of our students had the opportunity to take part in the Parliament of NSW Regional Roadshow in Macksville, joining young people from across the region for a meaningful day focused on public speaking, discussion and youth voice.

🎤 Ashton represented our College in the Public Speaking Competition, putting his communication skills to the test in front of an audience.

💬 Ashton then joined Mannat, Herkiran and Harper for the Youth Forum, where students had the opportunity to share their perspectives and engage directly with NSW Members of Parliament and representatives from the Office of the Advocate for Children and Young People and Office for Youth.

The forum provided a valuable opportunity for our students to contribute to conversations about issues that matter to young people and to see democracy and civic participation in action.

We’re very proud of Ashton, Mannat, Herkiran and Harper for representing our College so positively and making the most of this fantastic opportunity. 👏🌟

A big thank you to the Parliament of NSW for bringing the Regional Roadshow to our region and giving young people a platform to have their voices heard.
