Our little learners have been taking a deep dive into some of the world’s most iconic landmarks — exploring, researching, creating and working together along the way.

After a week of hard work, collaboration and plenty of creativity, their very own Sydney Harbour Bridge is complete! 🌉✨

What an incredible way to bring learning to life and celebrate the children’s curiosity about the world around them. 💙

🚨 Emergency Week at Wholechild 🚨

This week we've been practising our emergency drills, helping our children become familiar with the routines that keep everyone safe.

As part of our evacuation procedures, we've recently introduced evacuation ropes, giving our youngest learners the opportunity to confidently practise moving together as a group.

As always, our curious children led the learning with thoughtful questions and wonderful conversations:
💬 "Where's the fire?"
💬 "Why do we need the rope?"
💬 "Why do you blow the whistle?"

These questions created meaningful opportunities to talk about emergencies in a calm, age-appropriate way, helping children build their understanding while feeling safe and supported.

One of our favourite parts of Emergency Week is reflecting with the children after each drill. Their voices are an important part of our practice as we ask what went well, how they felt, and what we can do together next time. By involving children in the reflection process, we're not only strengthening our emergency procedures but also empowering them to be active participants in their own safety.

What a way for our foundation preschool to start their Wednesday, building our own river to race our boats!

Our Little Learners have been taking a deep dive into the world around them, exploring our community and discovering what makes a city work together.

Through collaboration, creativity and problem-solving, the children have started designing and building their very own mini Coffs Harbour! 🚦🏠🌳

Experiences like these support important school readiness skills including communication, early literacy and numeracy, teamwork, critical thinking and confidence in sharing ideas.

It has been wonderful to see the children planning, negotiating roles, drawing maps, building structures and making connections to their own experiences within the community.

Learning through play helps children make sense of the world around them while building the foundations for lifelong learning

Our Art Project Books are filled with creativity, imagination, and colorful moments created by young minds.

Every page tells a story of joy and self-expression.

Encouraging children to explore art helps build confidence, creativity, and endless possibilities 🌈🖌️

We were so thrilled to see photos of the residents at Masonic receiving the beautiful Mother’s Day cards the children had been working so hard on 💐❤️

The smiles, joy, and genuine connections shared between generations is truly heartwarming.

Small acts of kindness like these can make such a big difference, and we know these thoughtful cards brightened many residents’ days.
