Established in 2010, by Skye Hubbard and the parental guidance of her mother Nerilyn (Ned) Hubbard with the start up stock of 5 cows and calves. We aim to produce fertile cows, that can take on the conditions of any climate and to produce high quailty marbled meat produced by the best steers and weaner heifers.

Our Story

Established in 2010, by Skye Hubbard with the start up stock of 5 cows and calves. With growth, hard times and education Shotgun Livestock has changed forms many times. First focusing on growth with efficiency, fertility and muscle always at the forefront.

2018 sees Shotgun Livestock focusing on their commercial herd, various carcase traits such as early maturing, marbling and growth for age have become the main goal for improvement. Through these new focuses Shotgun Livestock has been showcasing some of its best stock since establishment. Heading into 2018/19 Shotgun has many plans for their future including AI programs, cross-breeding and embryos for further improvement.

Our goal is to produce bulls that can perform in any climate, cows that can produce carcase performing steers year after year, and steers that can be malleable for any market.
