My Future, My Culture, My Way is a new campaign supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to achieve their HSC. It recognises that different supports and connection to culture may help them through the challenging HSC journey.

The NSW Department of Education, NSW Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations (CAPO) and the Premier’s Implementation Unit have co-designed My Future, My Culture, My Way.

It’s part of the NSW Premier’s Priority to increase the proportion of Aboriginal students attaining Year 12 by 50%, while maintaining their cultural identity.

We need your help to share the campaign so we can reach this ambitious target.

Everything you do to support My Future, My Culture, My Way goes towards connecting students with culture, encouraging pride in their identity, and helping them to achieve academically.

The New South Wales Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Inc. (NSW AECG Inc.) in conjunction with the Department of Education’s Aboriginal Outcomes and Partnerships Directorate will be conducting a Wiradjuri Language and Culture Online Camp for Aboriginal students from Year 4 – Year 10.

EOIs must be received by COB, Tuesday 23rd November 2021. EOIs will not be received after this date.

The New South Wales Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Inc. (NSW AECG Inc.) in conjunction with the Department of Education’s Aboriginal Outcomes and Partnerships Directorate will be conducting a Language and Culture Online Camp for Aboriginal students from Year 3 to Year 6.

The online camp will be conducted over 6 weeks, 1 hour sessions per week. Starting from the 26th October 2021 to 30th November 2021.

The camp will contribute to informing, strengthening and connecting students to language and culture through sharing of knowledge and resources. The Gomeroi camp will give Aboriginal students an opportunity to connect to each other while learning through Culture.
