Join us at 12:45pm this Wednesday for our Book Week Picnic Lunch and help us raise funds for Wyatt and Nate, who are heading off to Nationals for swimming and netball! 🏊‍♂️🏐

📚🎶 GET EXCITED — BOOK WEEK IS HERE! 🎶📚

Coal Point Public School is ready to celebrate Book Week 2026: “Symphony of Stories” and our library is looking AMAZING! ✨📖 A huge amount of work has gone into creating a wonderful Book Fair for our students to explore.

📚 BOOK FAIR
🕣 8:30am–3:30pm
📅 Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Students will bring home their wish lists on Monday or Tuesday, with payment available by cash or credit card.

🎭 BOOK PARADE — WEDNESDAY
🧺 Join us for a picnic lunch from 12:45pm, followed by our Book Parade at 1:45pm.

We cannot wait to see our students bring their favourite stories to life by dressing as a character from a book they love! 🌟

Get ready for a week filled with books, imagination, characters and a whole symphony of stories! 🎼📚✨

📚🍎NAPLAN RESULTS ARE IN!🍎📚

For our Year 5 students who achieved Strong or Exceeding in NAPLAN, we look beyond their achievement level to understand how their results compare with other students.

We first compare their results with students from Statistically Similar School Groups (SSSG). These are schools with students from similar backgrounds and circumstances, providing a meaningful comparison of achievement.

We then compare our students’ results with the NSW State average, giving us a broader picture of how our Year 5 students are performing across the state.

These comparisons help us celebrate areas of strength, identify opportunities for further growth, and ensure we continue to challenge and extend our students.

101 days of school for our clever, kind, occasionally cheeky, kindergarten students! We have loved watching them learn, grow and make friends over the past 101 days. Imagine what they will be able to do after 200 days of school! ✨
