🚨 Meet Our New Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach – Professor Phil Kemp! 🥋

We are incredibly excited to officially welcome Phil to the ATA Martial Arts Academy family as the head coach of our new Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program!

With 20 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience, 33 years in combat arts, and holding the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt, Phil brings an incredible wealth of knowledge, experience and passion to our academy.

Beyond competition, Phil has worked with schools, sporting clubs and elite athletes, including the Nauru Olympic Karate Team and Nauru Olympic Wrestling Team. He also holds extensive qualifications in fitness, biomechanics and mobility, helping students become stronger, move better and perform at their best.

Whether you're stepping onto the mats for the very first time, looking to improve your fitness, wanting practical self-defence skills, or you're an experienced competitor chasing medals, Phil is committed to helping every student reach their full potential.

Two of our amazing club members were awarded their Black belt in Krav Maga today at the National Krav Maga weekend seminar. The guys were tested physically and mentally by top tier instructors from all over Australia and New Zealand and really showed the grit and determination it takes to earn the rank they achieved today. Around 5% of people who start as a white belt make it through to this level. Well done guys from all at ATA, you have made us very proud today.

ATA Martial Arts Academy is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Muay Thai Instructor to join our team!
We're searching for someone who is passionate about teaching, enjoys helping others grow, and wants to be part of a positive, family-focused martial arts community.
You'll be teaching teen and adult classes in a permanent facility in Cranbourne, with the opportunity to help build and shape our Muay Thai program from the ground up.
We're looking for someone who:
✅ Has solid Muay Thai coaching experience
✅ Creates a safe, positive and respectful training environment
✅ Is passionate about developing students of all skill levels
✅ Shares our values of respect, discipline, confidence and community
