Grayling Primary School

On Friday the 7th of August some of our grade 2 students participated in a mini hoop time program at the Dandenong Basketball Stadium.

Students were introduced to basic skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. These skills were incorporated into fun games such as popcorn, dribble knockout, and golden child. Once they practiced these skills, they then participated in a round robin of 8-minute mini games playing against different teams.

Hi Grayling! My name is Kristina Wiley and I am so excited to officially be a permanent member of the school community. When I'm not at school I enjoy spending time with my husband and three little children going on adventures and making memories. I love staying active by attending pilates classes and going for nature walks. In my spare time I also enjoy baking cookies, slices and all things sweet! Looking forward to saying hi to you all around the school.

Selected students recently enjoyed an exciting excursion by train into the city for our second Mass Choir rehearsal in preparation for the State Schools Spectacular.

Students travelled together by train to the Melbourne Town Hall, where they joined hundreds of other talented students for another fantastic rehearsal. It was wonderful to see the choir come together and continue building confidence, musicality and teamwork as we prepare for the big performance.

A particular highlight was getting to see the Principal Singers in their full costumes! Seeing the performers in costume gave students a wonderful glimpse of what they can look forward to when they take to the stage for the State Schools Spectacular.

It was a fantastic day of music, learning and excitement, and we are so proud of our students for their enthusiasm and commitment to this incredible opportunity. We can't wait for our next rehearsals at John Cain area on the 27th and 28th of August! Tickets for the event have all sold out for the evening show on the 29th of August however there are still limited tickets for the afternoon performance.
