Construction of the new St Carlo Acutis Catholic Primary School at 121 Bellavita Avenue in Clyde is advancing with the school on track for a planned opening in Term 1 2027.

The Foundation Principal, Mrs Michelle Bruitzman was recently introduced to the
St Thomas the Apostle Parish community at the conclusion of two Sunday Masses.

Michelle was joined by Chief Leadership and Registration Officer, Mr Richard Wans and Chief Planning and Infrastructure Officer, Mr Dermot Cannon from Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited who provided an update on the new school project.

Michelle was previously Principal at St Agatha’s Catholic Primary School, Cranbourne.
She will take up her new role as Principal of St Carlo Acutis Catholic Primary School role in July for the start of Term 3 this year.

Michelle will support the work of establishing and opening the new school in Term 1, 2027.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of the foundation principal to lead the new St Carlo Acutis Catholic Primary School, under construction in Clyde.

Mrs Michelle Bruitzman will take up the principalship in July for the commencement of Term 3, 2026, in preparation of the school’s planned opening in Term 1, 2027.

Michelle has spent 32 years in Catholic education, including the past four years as Principal of St Agatha’s Catholic Primary School, Cranbourne.

Michelle said she is looking forward to building a safe, inclusive, Catholic school community, with a strong learning agenda, inspired by the charism of Saint Carlo Acutis.

As Foundation Principal, Michelle will play a key role in preparing for the school’s opening, while building relationships with future school and parish families.
