Rev. Andy sung at the FA Cup Final in London!
Congratulations to our Head of Faith & Community, Rev. Andy Bowerman, who had the incredible opportunity to fly to London, England and sing the beautiful hymn, 'Abide With Me', at the FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Chelsea FC at Wembley Stadium on Saturday!
They performed in front of more than 90,000 people as part of the “Bantam of the Opera” choir!
A timeless Christian hymn, Abide With Me is a heartfelt prayer asking for God’s presence, peace and guidance through every season of life. A powerful message shared on one of football’s biggest stages.
See if you can spot him in the choir!

2 more Championships for our Junior & Senior Soccer stars! 🏆⚽🏆
CREST’s Soccer program reached another milestone yesterday, with both our Junior and Senior Boys teams claiming titles at the State Christian Schools Championship at La Trobe Sports Park, the home of the Matildas.
In their first appearance at the competition, both sides dominated the group stages, with the Juniors defeating Lighthouse Christian College (4–1) and Heritage College (3–0), while the Seniors recorded emphatic wins over Northside Christian College (6–0) and Lighthouse Christian College (5–0).
That form continued into the knockout rounds. The Junior Boys defeated St Andrews 3–1 before advancing via a penalty shootout after a 1–1 semi-final draw with Heathdale. The Seniors beat Waverley Christian College (Narre Warren) 2–0 and edged Heathdale 1–0 to reach the final.
In the deciders, both teams faced Waverley Christian College (Wantirna South). The Juniors secured a disciplined 1–0 win, while the Seniors triumphed in a tense penalty shootout, with captain Kojo-Derrick converting the decisive penalty kick.
These two victories mark CREST’s fifth title from six Christian State competitions this year, underpinned by professionalism, composure, and outstanding sportsmanship throughout.
Congratulations boys!

"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." - John 15:13 ✝️
This week, Rivercrest Christian College held our ANZAC Service, taking time to honour those who have served to protect the freedoms we enjoy in Australia and New Zealand.
We especially remember those who gave their lives in conflict, peacekeeping, and service to our nation.
Their sacrifice reflects the love that Jesus showed in giving up His life for you and I, so that we might be restored to the Father.
We express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all who have served, and continue to serve, in the Australian Defence Force. 🇦🇺🇳🇿

CREST Education is proud to announce and congratulate Year 11 Hillcrest student, Shenal Porage, on his selection to represent the electorate of Holt at the National Youth Parliament in Canberra this August.
This outstanding achievement reflects Shenal’s strong commitment to Christian leadership, community engagement and public service at a young age.
For Shenal, politics is closely tied to his faith and values. He believes the two do not have to be separate.
“I want to bring my Christian values into my political values, and maybe someday into parliament", Shenal said.
Shenal's Christian faith and conversations with his pastor have helped him build a foundation for ethical leadership and meaningful political engagement.
Participating in the National Youth Parliament will allow Shenal to strengthen his skills in debating, public speaking and collaboration, while learning more about Australia’s political system. He is particularly excited about connecting with like‑minded young people from across the country and using these experiences to better understand and serve his community.
"Hillcrest had nurtured me to grow in my confidence, realise what I enjoy and improve my skills. This was through leadership opportunities, debating and public speaking competitions and constant support from teachers. I would not even know about the National Youth Parliament if it was not for one of my teachers who believed in me", he expressed.
Shenal also credits his growth and confidence to the support he received at Hillcrest, where leadership opportunities, competitions and encouragement from teachers helped shape his journey.
With mentors who believed in him and nurtured his potential, Shenal now steps onto the national stage and we look forward to seeing the impact he will make as Holt’s representative.
Congratulations Shenal!
