Ever wondered how the work you do actually connects to the change you want to create? 🧡
NVI’s Expert in Residence Eloise Hall is running a Theory of Change workshop with Steph Malan, co-founder of The Village Co. - a charity supporting vulnerable mothers and newborns across every public maternity hospital in Adelaide.
 
You’ll watch the process happen live as Steph maps how The Village Co.’s daily work connects to the outcomes they exist to create. Then you’ll learn how to apply it to your own projects, ventures, and ideas.
 
This one’s for anyone building something with a social mission, student founders, charity workers, community organisers, or anyone who suspects there’s a business model in their work but can’t quite see it yet.
Lunch included. Drinks at The Tav after. 🍻

It’s official! NVI’s Student Founder Network is launching 🚀
Whether you’ve got an idea, a side project, or you’re just curious about what this whole innovation thing is about, this is your invite. Come meet the inaugural cohort, connect with the NVI team and SA’s innovation ecosystem, swap ideas, and kick things off properly. Drinks and nibbles sorted.
Open to all Flinders students, staff, and friends of NVI. You don’t need a business plan. You just need to show up.

High schoolers, high stakes, and big robotics!
Last week at Tonsley we hosted the Flinders NVI Open, a VEX Robotics Competition bringing together 14 teams from 9 schools right across South Australia for a full day of robotics.

Huge congratulations to corral that competed, with special mention to Investigator College for taking home the top prize! The skill, the strategy and sheer problem solving on display from all teams was next level, this is what innovation looks like when you start young.

This day happened because of an awesome partnership between our student-led Flinders VEX Team and the City of Marion, who backed the event with a grant that made the whole day possible. Thank you City of Marion, for investing in SA students and getting behind innovation right here at Tonsley!

Robotics, community and the next generation of problem solvers, all in one day! It was so good, we can’t wait to do it again!!
