Healthy and happy smiles start young at Cottage Academy 🦷

Every six months we welcome the wonderful team from Delivering Dental to visit and check the children’s teeth.

These visits help children become familiar with dental care in a relaxed and friendly environment while learning the importance of brushing and looking after their smiles 🙂

Here at Cottage Academy, music is so much more than just fun, it’s a way for the children to move, listen, get creative and express themselves 🎶

It’s safe to say all the children love our music sessions. Through singing, dancing and exploring a variety of instruments, children build coordination, discover rhythm and grow in confidence 🎵

Wearing our jeans for a cause that matters 👖💙 Yesterday, our Cottage Academy children and educators came together for Jeans for Genes Day to help raise awareness and funds for a genetic disease research.

This fundraiser is especially meaningful to our Cottage Academy family as we honour the memory of Rosie’s beautiful son Jaxon and support research that has the potential to change the lives of families facing genetic conditions.

On Thursday 6th August, Jeans for Genes Day, our Childcare centre will be wearing our jeans to help raise awareness and funds for genetic disease research.

This cause is deeply personal to Rosie, our Campus Assistant Manager.

On 2nd July 2025, Rosie welcomed her beautiful son, Jaxon, into the world. Jaxon was born with Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH), a rare and devasting genetic condition. After just 9 precious days, they had to say goodbye to him on 11th July.

Although Jax's life was incredibly short, the love he brought into their lives will last forever. In his memory, we are supporting Jeans for Genes to help fund vital research into genetic conditions, many of which still have no cure.

Did you know that 1 in 20 babies are born with a genetic condition or birth defect? Every donation helps support research, improve treatments, and give hope to families facing the unimaginable.

On Jeans for Genes Day, we invite our families to join us by wearing their favourite pair of jeans. If you are able to, we would also be incredibly grateful for a donation to our fundraiser. Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a difference.

Thank you for helping us honour Rosie's beautiful boy while supporting research that may one day change another family's story.

What a beautiful day in the park ☀️

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families and team who joined us for our Picnic in the Park over the weekend ☀️

It was such a special day filled with sunshine, laughter and plenty of fun. From giant bubbles and balloon animals to games, picnics on the grass and lots of smiling faces, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

We loved seeing our Cottage Academy community come together to create special memories in the beautiful sunshine 💛

A huge congratulations to Amy, Leeds & Sienna as they celebrate their 3 year anniversary with us here at Cottage Academy.

On Saturday morning, our kindergarten studio teachers, Miss Amy-Lea and Miss Hayley, were out supporting the Peninsula Power FC Peewees as they received their brand new team jerseys ⚽️

As proud sponsors of the team, we were delighted to be part of such a special morning, helping hand out jerseys and greeting the players to icy poles after a morning on the field.

A huge thank you to Sandy and Sandy, along with all the wonderful volunteers at Peninsular Power Football Club!
