Our little ones have been busy creating some adorable self portraits for our very special limited edition Clontarf Beach State School 75th Anniversary tea towels 😍

All funds raised will be going to our P&C to continue improving our school.

At 50x70cm large, our tea towels are of the highest quality, certified 100% organic, natural cotton, thick and long lasting, with a corner loop for hanging.
Bring home a piece of our wonderful schools history for just $20.

All orders can be placed directly through the Flexischools app before 1st November, 2025.

The Hornibrook Highway was built 15 years before our wonderful school.

Today is the 90th birthday of one of the most recognisable and historic Redcliffe icons, the Hornibrook Bridge.

The Hornibrook Bridge opened as a bold link between Brisbane and the Redcliffe Peninsula, and today we celebrate its enduring legacy. Once the longest bridge in the Southern Hemisphere, it transformed Redcliffe from a quiet seaside town into a bustling holiday destination, carrying families, workers, and holidaymakers across Bramble Bay. Though no longer in use for cars, the Hornibrook still holds a special place in Queensland’s heart—remembered for its striking timber pylons, its role in shaping community life, and the sense of freedom it gave to generations heading “over the bridge” for a day by the sea.

Cheeky Request Alert! Can You Help Our 75th Anniversary Raffle?

Hello everyone,

This might sound a little cheeky… but if you don’t ask, you’ll never know! So here goes: we’re on the hunt for donations for our Pick a Box Raffle — part of our exciting 75th Anniversary celebrations at CBSS. Think of it as the modern twist on a cent auction.

Here’s how it works: people buy tickets, pop them into the box for the prize they’d love to win, and then a lucky winner is drawn during the big celebrations. Simple, fun, and exciting!

What could you donate? Almost anything fun or useful makes a great prize! Think:

• gift vouchers (cafés, restaurants, shops, pampering)
• gourmet goodies (wine, chocolates, hampers)
• homewares or décor pieces
• toys, games, or books
• sporting or outdoor gear
• beauty or self-care treats

Every donation will be acknowledged on its prize box (for example: “This gift voucher was kindly donated by the Jones family of 1975”).
Of course, if you’d prefer to remain anonymous, no problem at all — your secret’s safe with us!

If you’ve got something to donate, you can drop it off at the school or let us know and we’ll happily swing by to pick it up.

CBSS is such a wonderful little school, and we’d love your support to make our 75th Anniversary celebrations extra special.
