🦔 What a magical art lesson with our 5–7 year olds!

In the previous Term we created adorable hedgehogs using a very challenging but incredibly exciting mixed-media technique. The project involved several different materials and steps, so the children had to be patient, focused, and creative throughout the process.

And the best part? They were absolutely thrilled with the results! ✨ Seeing their faces light up when the hedgehogs were finished was priceless. Each artwork turned out unique, textured, and full of personality - and the children were so proud of what they achieved.

Moments like these are why I love teaching art: children discover that they can create something much more complex and beautiful than they ever imagined. 💛

One of our recent projects with children aged 5–10 was all about surprises and imagination! ✨

The kids created transforming drawings where one picture changed into another when the paper was unfolded — and the ideas were absolutely brilliant 😍

An apple turned into an apple core where worms had built an amusement park and little cafés 🎡
An egg opened up into a dinosaur 🦖
A carrot magically transformed into a rabbit 🥕🐇

There was so much laughter, storytelling, and creative thinking in every artwork.
Projects like this give children a chance to explore their imagination freely and see that art can be playful, unexpected, and full of wonder. 🎨💫

Pastel animals made by all ages kids.
Firstly there are pictures made by artists 10+ years old, then there are pics made by artists 5+ years old.

Sunflower fields made by students 10 years old and over 🌻🌻🌻
You can compare them with the sunflowers in the previous post and notice that all of them are absolutely beautiful regardless of the age of the artists 💛
