Shore Studio Art School will be permanently closing the studio doors on Friday 18th September 2026.

As many of you know, our time here at Shore Studio has been hanging by the threat of demolition since January 2025. At this stage, the council has yet to decide on the application, but we have been told that our lease will not be renewed. While all efforts to relocate have been made, nothing either suitable or affordable has been found. It is then with great sadness that I will be permanently closing Shore Studio Art School + Art Supplies. All classes, workshops and private tuition will continue to run until the end of term 3 (Friday 18th September). The studio will then be closed permanently. Our art supplies shop will remain open until the end of October or until all stock is sold.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our amazing community for your support and involvement over years. Thank you to all our students who have trusted us to guide them in their creative journeys. Thank you to all our customers that have supported our “Candy-Store for Artists”. Thank you to all our Guest Artists that have brought their skills and expertise to our studio. Thank you to our Life Models who have inspired us in our Life Drawing classes and thank you to the musicians for providing a soundtrack to our events.

Over the last 9 1/2 years of running Shore Studio Art School + Art Supplies I have been blessed to work with some incredibly talented guest artists. I have had the upmost pleasure of working with the best team, Corinne and Felix. I have had the privilege to nurture the talents and witness the progress and success of so many of my students. We have learned together. My wish in closing is that you all continue your love of art and learning.

Welcome to the wonderful world of reflections!

Master Pastelist Lyn Diefenbach joined us in the studio for this fabulous 3-Day Workshop. Students learnt to unravel the subtleties of reflective surfaces and how to build the illusion of transparency.

This workshop is the very last workshop we will run here at Shore Studio and what great note to end on!
