Many of you know that undertaking postgraduate study is sometimes vital for developing your nursing or midwifery career. Yet, despite being a student, you're unable to access public transport concessions, which means you'd pay twice as much for public transport as undergraduates.

Victoria is the only state in Australia that makes graduate students pay full price! It's unfair, and that's why Monash Graduate Association - MGA is hoping to change that with their petition to Victorian Parliament for public transport concessions for graduate students.

They are aiming for 10,000 signatures by the 3 August to demonstrate widespread community support and to trigger an official debate in state parliament. Please sign and share!

The National Tertiary Education Union has saved more than 140 jobs at Deakin University after successfully pressuring management to scrap its damaging plan.
