We are officially saying goodbye to our main school wing. Demolition works began last week and will continue throughout this week as we clear the way for something amazing 🤩
While it’s sad to see the old building go, we couldn't be more thrilled about what’s coming next! This transformation will make room for: eight brand-new classrooms, dedicated breakout spaces for collaborative group work and planning areas for our staff.
Thank you to our school community for your patience and support as we navigate the noise and site changes over the coming days. Stay tuned for progress updates as we build the future of our school 💚💙

Happy Principal's Day! Yesterday, we celebrated our principal, Mr. Pauwels, and showed our appreciation with student-made cards and a delicious morning tea. Thank you Mr Pauwels, for everything you do for our CSPS community 💚💙

The annual tradition of portrait drawings from our Prep/1 students continues. While our P/1 artists may have added a few extra wild hairs, and some rather interesting fashion choices, every masterpiece was drawn with lots of love and appreciation.

After all that celebrating (and admiring your new art collection), we hope Mr. Pauwels gets to kick back and have a wonderfully relaxing weekend 🙂🙂

On Friday, our school leaders, teachers, and Education Support (ES) staff spent our Curriculum Day upskilling in best cognitive practice.

We focused on Retrieval Practice - Simply put, retrieval practice is about pulling information out of students' minds (through quick quizzes, flashcards, or brain dumps) rather than just trying to cram information in. By practicing remembering what they’ve learned, our students build stronger memory pathways and deeper understanding.

All working towards one goal: better learning outcomes for our students 🚀

Our students have had an absolutely wonderful past two days settling into their brand-new classrooms. The energy and excitement around the school has been amazing ✨
