Video of #14380 Blue BotBuilders being announced as the 1st place Design Award winners at the FIRST World Championships, in Houston, Texas, USA. The video includes a team photo at the end. A HUGE shout out to Zandir (from BotBuilders #18228) and Matthew who travelled with the team, giving support and sharing such an amazing experience!

Robotics Scholarship for students in year 8, 9 or 10:
Robotics Academy at Building Block Studio.
Morning Class: strictly 9.5yo +
Maximum students: 12
Time: 10:15am – 11:15am
What students do: over an 8-week period (during schools’ term 1, 2, & 3), students design, construct, code and iterate a robotics project using LEGO technic with the term culminating in a short presentation/demonstration of each creation to the student’s loved ones. Projects have included: carnival rides and ball moving machine. Term 2, 2023 project: a climbing robot.

Afternoon Class: strictly 13.5yo +
Maximum students: 12
Time: 1:15pm – 2:45pm
What students do: this year, the students are working as a team to solve real small scale manufacturing problems together with the mentors at Building Block Studio. The team are working to solve: clamping, plastic storage, and automation all centred around a small injection molding machine. The process involves: CAD, circuit board design, user interface design, prototyping with laser cutting and 3D printing, teamwork, project management, programming, collaboration and problem solving,

We had fun with the year 8 Gents at Padua College late in term 1. Building and coding a small robot in python!

Thanks for posting this !! A fantastic achievement at the World Championships. #14380 Blue BotBuilders won 1st place Design Award in the Jemison Division. We are enormously proud of these non-stop, hard working, dancing Blue BotBuilders - they even threw in some boogying on the dance floor! Well done!!
