🧡 BOOK WEEK 2026 💛

This week, the children and educators here at First Friends celebrated Book Week 2026.

From Disney princesses and superheroes to The Gruffalo and Matilda Wormwood, our centre was full of familiar faces from much-loved books and comics. Throughout the week, we have enjoyed sharing stories and exploring our favourite books together.

Thank you to all of our families for helping make Book Week such a fun and memorable experience 🧡💛

We host regular mat sessions across our rooms, giving the children the opportunity to come together, listen to stories, explore new ideas and enjoy the magic of books. Our educators use our story sessions as a chance to bond with the children in our care.

🧡 JEANS FOR GENES DAY 💛

Today, the children and educators at First Friends broke out the denim in honour of Jeans for Genes. Throughout the day, the children have learned about the importance of caring for their peers and the wider community and have demonstrated their understanding through collaborative experiences.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in Jeans for Genes Day. We are very thankful for your kind donations as well. The money will go a long way in aiding children and families effected by genetic conditions 🧡💛

Tuff trays are incredibly beneficial for children’s development, encouraging sensory exploration, creativity, problem-solving, communication and fine motor skills.
