National Child Protection Week is an important opportunity to reflect on the role we all play in creating safe and supportive environments for children and young people.

This year’s theme, Every Conversation Matters: Shifting Conversation to Action, reminds us that meaningful conversations can lead to meaningful action.

Across our school communities, each of us has a part to play in ensuring children and young people feel safe, heard, valued and supported to thrive.

Today a number of our Grade 5 & 6 students and both our Grade 3 classes had the opportunity to visit the Festival of Bright Ideas - Tasmania's leading Science Week event. Offering them many hands-on activities, robot interactions, marine life displays, and fossil excavations, the children had a wonderful time. Some of our Grade 3 Students were even lucky enough to be interviewed by the WIN News Tasmania crew - so keep an out for tonight's news report.

Huge thank you to all our amazing staff and students for making our Mini Big Freeze yesterday such a success. Watching our brave teachers take buckets of ice and water over their heads brought plenty of laughs, but more importantly, it helped us raise vital awareness and funds for MND. Your enthusiasm, generosity, and school spirit made the afternoon unforgettable.
