We are delighted to share an exciting update from our Wattle and Grevilia learning environments! 💚
Over the past week, Kyp and Desmond have been thoughtfully redesigning our outdoor spaces, transforming the former sandpit areas into rich, interactive environments that invite curiosity, creativity, and collaboration ⭐️
In Wattle, we are proud to introduce our new stage!
This dynamic space invites children to gather, perform, and express themselves in a variety of ways. Whether it becomes a storytelling platform, a concert stage, a space for group meetings, or an impromptu dance floor, the stage supports children to build confidence, communication skills, and a strong sense of identity. Through role play and performance, children are encouraged to explore imagination, self-expression, and teamwork, while also developing language skills and emotional awareness as they engage with an audience or participate in group experiences 🎶
In Grevilia, our new mud kitchen offers endless opportunities for creative, hands-on exploration. Here, children can engage in rich sensory play while experimenting with mixing, measuring, pouring, and creating “recipes” from natural materials. This environment supports the development of early scientific thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical concepts such as volume, quantity, and comparison. It also encourages social interaction, cooperation, and communication as children collaborate in imaginative role play scenarios—whether they are running a café, preparing a feast, or inventing something entirely new! 🍉
Both environments have been intentionally designed to extend children’s learning through play, fostering independence, creativity, and a strong connection to the natural world. We look forward to watching the children explore, imagine, and bring these spaces to life in their own unique ways 🌸
