Clare High School is a leading academic Year 7-12 secondary school located in the Clare and Gilbert Valley, with approximately 500 students primarily from viticulture and agricultural backgrounds. The school has 10 feeder schools and many students also transition to the school from the broader district to access the wide choice of curriculum options. rt, and many links are made between the two to build a strong sense of community spirit. Clare High School was established in 1921 and moved to its current site in 1971. The school includes a range of dedicated teaching spaces that promote learning in specialised settings. Clare High School's motto is 'To Seek a Worthy Goal', which underpins the school ethos. In conjunction with the school motto there is an emphasis placed on five school values: Respect, Achievement, Relationships, Involvement and Education.

Show your support by wearing a touch of purple or dressing in casual clothes for the day. This year's theme is "Colours Of Courage," celebrating and supporting our LGBTQIA+ students, staff and community.

🗓️ Bookings are via Daymap. If you haven't booked a time yet, please do so as soon as possible.
🚸 Students are not required at school outside their interview time(s). All classes are cancelled for the day.

Together, Our Small Acts Create Big Change

That's a wrap on Bullying No Way Week 2026 at Clare High School!

Last week we talked about including someone, speaking up, and checking in - and every single one of those small acts matters. Bullying has no place at CHS, and that's not just a slogan, it's something our whole community lives out every day.

To celebrate, we finished the week with a Lunchtime BBQ and our "Hands Up to Stop Bullying" Graffiti Wall where students were invited to add a painted handprint to our wall, along with a message about bullying prevention.

Thank you to everyone who's taken part this week - students, staff and families.

A Ribbon-Worthy Day at the Northern Schools Livestock Expo! 🐄🐐🐑

Last Friday, 32 CHS students and 24 animals made the trip to Kadina Showgrounds for the Northern Schools Livestock Expo, going head-to-head with 6 other schools in perfect weather conditions.

Our goat team showed off their handling skills and presentation, while our steer and wether team tackled both handling and junior judging.

🏆 The big win of the day? First place in the Grand Parade! This involved all school's students and animals walking the oval together. A huge, chaotic, brilliant spectacle, and our crew brought home the top spot!

A massive thank you to Alex Welke, Amy Abbot and Brad Charnstrom for getting all our animals safely to and from the show.

Bullying No Way Week: today's small act is simple - check in on someone.

A "hey, you good?" text. Sitting next to the quiet kid. Noticing when someone's having a rough day and just... being there. It doesn't need to be a big gesture. It just needs to be genuine.

Year 8 STEM Careers Day

Our year eight students got back on a bus for the first time since year 8 camp to head to the STEM Careers Day. Students had the opportunity to explore the Science Alive experience, learning about the many STEM pathways open to them, while also getting a chance to participate in some hands-on activities.

The students enjoyed the ADF section, the drones, the robot fighting, conducting ultrasounds and seeing all of the animals.

Thank you to the Student Pathways Program which is Commonwealth Government funded to help promote STEM and Defence Industry pathways to secondary school students, who covered the cost for our students to participate.

Thank you also to Mr Upton, Mrs Hooper, Mr Lodge and Caitie B for coming along on the day.
