𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 – 𝐏𝐓𝐄 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
There’s been a lot of 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 about supposed PTE changes recently.
Here’s what we discovered:
Q1. Has anything actually changed in the PTE test?
✅ 𝐍𝐨, the test format and scoring remain exactly the same. There are only a few very minor interface updates that don't impact your score or performance in any way.
These include:
A waveform display while recording your voice
A new look for the recording progress/status bar
A beep sound when recording starts in Repeat Sentence
Q2. Can I still use the current templates, strategies and tricks?
✅ 𝐘𝐞𝐬, absolutely! All the usual methods, templates, and tips are working just as well as before.
Q3. Is the 𝐨𝐧𝐞-𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 for Read Aloud still effective?
✅ 𝐘𝐞𝐬, it’s still 100% effective and recommended.
Q4. Can I add extra words in Write from Dictation?
✅ 𝐘𝐞𝐬, you still can! He did in this attempt too — and still got the perfect score.
Q5. Any changes in 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚?
✅ 𝐍𝐨, the marking system is unchanged.
Q6. Are repeated exam questions still appearing?
✅ Yes, you might see familiar questions pop up. But don’t rely only on memorizing them — 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬.
✅ Final advice from No PTE AU:
1. 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 or overcomplicate things.
2. 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 consistently.
3. 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 get lost listening to too many conflicting sources.
4. 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 the process — if you understand the exam and prepare properly, you can absolutely achieve your target score.
