Chum Creek Primary School is looking to trial a Before School Care program in Term 4 and are currently seeking a suitable OSHC educator to assist with the program.
The position would be approximately 9 hours per week Monday - Wednesday.

Healesville CFA Visits Chum Creek Primary School Playgroup.
Last week Ken and his team from Healesville CFA visited our Playgroup. The kids had lots of fun looking at, climbing on (and in) their truck. Lots to see!
Thanks to the Healesville CFA and their volunteers for giving generously of their time.

Our Prep and Grade 1 students enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in Healesville last Thursday!
We had a fantastic Storytime session with Jan at the Healesville Library, where we sang songs, listened to stories, danced with scarves and bubbles, played shakers and explored the seasons together.
Afterwards, we walked to the Healesville Post Office to personally post letters we had written to our special people. We finished our afternoon with some time to explore and play at Queens Park. It was a fun-filled day of learning and adventure!

It's been a very interesting end to the week at Chum Creek Primary School, with some mischievous teddies causing chaos overnight! 🧸😄
Yesterday, the Junior Class brought in their special teddies for a Teddy Bear Sleepover. During ‘Make It’ they made them special warm beds for sleeping. This morning, the students arrived to discover their teddies had been very busy overnight! There were signs of a party, a very messy classroom, and even a toothpaste message written beside the toothbrushes.
Thankfully, the teddies helped clean up before heading home — although we're still finding stray balls around the room!

It may be cold outside, but there was plenty of creativity and excitement in the Junior Classroom at Chum Creek Primary School today!
To welcome the first day of winter, students followed procedural texts and put their fine motor skills to work, creating beautiful snowflakes. ❄️ Their concentration, creativity and attention to detail were on full display, and the finished creations look fantastic.

🛒🤟 Fun during Auslan this week at Chum Creek Primary School!
The Students put their signing skills into action by going “shopping” choosing items to help dress Principal Mick. Using only Auslan, they selected clothing and accessories, communicated their choices, and worked together to complete the challenge.
It was a fun and engaging way to build confidence, develop skills, and practise real-life communication through sign language. Well done everyone! 👏😊

🎶 Chum Creek Primary School was rocking away today with some fantastic tunes! 🎸🥁 Mondays are always full of fun when Tim from Tri Music visits for our weekly music lessons. The students absolutely love getting involved, building their confidence, and making music together. What a great way to start the week! 🎤😊

This week Chum Creek Primary School followed the Yellow Brick Road all the way to our school production of The Wizard of Oz! 🌈✨
Our students had a wonderful opportunity to help rewrite the script to give it the special “Chummie” touch, and they absolutely did us proud. Every student shone on stage and helped create a fantastic show enjoyed by families, friends, and our amazing school community.
A very special thank you to all of our dedicated staff who generously gave up so much of their time to make the performance such a success.
We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Dan and Healesville High School for kindly allowing us to use their wonderful facilities.
