🌟 New Hijri Year 1448! 🌟
As we welcome the beginning of the new Hijri year 1448 AH, we reflect upon the great lessons of the Hijrah (migration) of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). The Hijrah was a journey of faith, sacrifice, perseverance, and trust in Allah.
It reminds us that with sincere faith and patience, challenges can become opportunities for growth, renewal, and success.
The Hijri calendar begins with the month of Muharram, which is one of the four sacred months designated by Allah. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) called it “the Month of Allah” and highly recommended fasting during its days:
“The most excellent fast after Ramadan is Allah’s month, al-Muharram…” (Sahih Muslim 1163a)
Make the most of this blessed month by increasing voluntary fasts, particularly on the 9th and 10th of Muharram, as fasting on ‘Ashura’ (the 10th of Muharram) expiates the sins of the previous year. (Sahih Muslim 1162a)
May Allah make this new year a source of peace, blessings, guidance, and spiritual growth for you and your family. May He grant us steadfastness upon faith, success in this life and the Hereafter, and make 1448 AH a year of goodness, unity, and prosperity for all. Ameen! 🤲✨
