We've been a bit quiet on socials lately... but only because we've been busy behind the scenes!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve hosted two fantastic club contest nights - one for the International Speech and Evaluation Contest, and another for Table Topics. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, judged, and cheered from the sidelines!
We’re incredibly proud of our members who represented us at the district level:
👏 Renee took out 2nd place in the District Humorous Speech Contest
👏 Dona delivered an impressive performance in the District Table Topics Contest
We also recently said farewell to our long-standing member Phil, who’s been a valued part of our club for years.
And we had a fun social night out bowling!
There’s still plenty to come before the year wraps up.
Our next meeting is Monday, 17 November at 7.45pm. Visitors are always welcome, come see what Toastmasters is all about!

Monday night’s meeting was all about Artificial Intelligence, and we learnt a lot about how our members use AI in their lives.
We had two great speeches:
🎤 Dona delivered a speech while managing a difficult audience, and let’s just say our members took that role a little too seriously!
🎤 Emma presented her Ice Breaker, and we got to learn about her life in the police force and what she hoped to gain from joining Toastmasters.
We also celebrated Renee, who received awards for completing both Level 1 and Level 2 of her Pathways, and welcomed guest Thomas. Thanks for visiting!
Our next meeting is actually our club contests - visitors are more than welcome to come and watch our members compete!
Details: Monday 1 September at 7pm (please note the early start)

Last week’s Toastmasters meeting theme was “The Perfect Job”, and it sparked some great reflections on what really matters to us in our working lives.
We heard two excellent speeches—Renee took us through the last 10 years of her journey, sharing personal insights and lessons along the way. Scott delivered his Ice Breaker speech, giving us a glimpse into some of the key milestones in his life so far. A fantastic start to his Toastmasters journey!
We also officially welcomed Viktor as our newest member - it's great to have you on board!
Our next meeting is Monday, 4th August at 7:45pm. Visitors are always welcome; come along and see what Toastmasters is all about!
