SEWING PROJECTS 🧵 Can you believe a kid made these?!

These are just some of the sewing projects worked on in Term 2 & 3 by our weekly sewing students that come after school. We had fully booked classes 4 afternoons each week. Our workshop has been buzzing!

It’s beginner-friendly, if you can draw with a pencil you can wood burn your own personalised cheeseboard! Maria hand picks and cuts all the raw wood used to make unique cheeseboards. The possibilities are endless!

2ND HAND SHOPPING 🛍️ I love finding handmade pieces in 2nd hand clothing stores. Discovering a handmade garment that is sewn, knitted or crocheted is like hitting the jackpot. That piece holds a story.

I found lots of great pieces at Reunion in Enmore. They have a curated selection of 2nd hand fashion. These photos were taken over a couple of visits, and their stock moves fast. These pieces have likely been snapped up and replaced with new ones.

Don’t forget to look for handmade pieces next time you are shopping.

You can also sell your good quality pieces to Reunion so the sustainable cycle of fashion continues.

CUSTOMER MAKE 🧵 We had to share this completely handmade creation by Susannah. It’s the most amazing Bowser Jr. costume, a character from the Super Mario franchise.

Only small bits of this were made in our workshop at our Sewing Socials, but it is too good not to share. We were all in awe. Such a special gift for her nephew. Sorry, she doesn’t make these to sell. A real labour of love.

We love seeing everyone’s projects and sharing ideas. It keeps our workshop buzzing with creativity!

SEWING ZIPPERS 🧵 Want to learn how to sew in zippers? Interested in sewing bags? Learn useful techniques in our Zipper Clutch & Pouch Workshop.

It’s a class suitable for sewists of all levels, including beginner-level. It’s a great introduction to sewing zippers if you’ve recently started sewing, or have been avoiding sewing zippers.

You will make a small boxy pouch and a fold-over clutch in 1 day! Both are fully lined for a professional finish.
