Prof. Vrasidas Karalis ended his address by reminding us of the manner in which Ancient Greek anthropology was fulfilled in Christ, and that through Christ we are given HOPE!

This lecture, titled “From the Affirmative Vision of Ancient Greek Philosophy to the Apophatic Character of Byzantine Mysticism”, was the inaugural lecture in the Wisdom and Light Series, held in conjunction with Notre Dame University’s Centre for the History of Greek Philosophy.

Prof. Vrasidas Karalis highlights how the Ancient Greek Philosophical tradition carries the ‘Spermatic Word’ that is fulfilled in the Incarnation of Christ, the Logos Himself!

We were very fortunate to have Prof. Vrasidas Karalis as our inaugural speaker for the Wisdom and Light Series, held in conjunction with Notre Dame University’s Center for the History of Philosophy. Prof Karalis opened his address titled “From the Affirmative Vision of Ancient Greek Philosophy to the Apophatic Character of Byzantine Mysticism” by stressing the importance of philosophical discourse in an age where true philosophy is obscured by secular culture.
