All current CDU Sydney international students are invited to join the International Student Leadership and Ambassador Program (ISLA) organised by the

The program offers free training, integrated learning and volunteering opportunities to enhance international student leadership skills and experience, which become transferable to their future careers. Participants also have an opportunity to develop a sense of belonging while getting involved in the design and delivery of local events and activities.

International students with an active enrolment in a tertiary education institution in Greater Sydney, who live, study or work in the City of Sydney local area are eligible to apply. Applications are now open and close on Monday 13 April.

We were delighted to welcome guest speaker Kim Hwang to the Charles Darwin University Sydney campus for an engaging and insightful session with our Master of Accounting students.

A sincere thank you to Nilima Paul and Tianyi Long for joining and sharing their expertise. The session highlighted the diversity of accounting career pathways and provided practical employability tips to support students in securing roles in Australia.

Students were encouraged to build meaningful professional connections, explore the resources available through our CDU Careers Centre, and take advantage of opportunities such as the Quitch competition to enhance their learning experience.

This session was co-hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Society and our Career Centre as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting student success. All students from our new Sydney cohort participated, gaining valuable insights into professional accounting practices and key industry bodies across Sydney and Australia.

We are pleased to see such strong engagement, with students finding the session both informative and highly relevant to their future careers.

What an incredible day at the Festival of Future 🎉

CDU (Charles Darwin University) was proud to be part of this inspiring event at the Mount Druitt University Study Hub, where we connected with over 200 high school students from Chifley College Senior Campus, Blacktown Girls High School, Australian Islamic College, St Agnes Catholic High School, and Cathwest Innovation College.

It was fantastic to engage with students as they explored their future pathways beyond school. Our team enjoyed sharing insights into CDU’s diverse range of courses, flexible study options for domestic students — both online and on campus — as well as pathways, scholarships, and career opportunities 🎓📚

We were inspired by the curiosity and enthusiasm of students asking questions and taking meaningful steps towards their future goals 💡

A big thank you to the organisers, schools, and everyone involved in making the day such a success. CDU is committed to supporting students across NSW and beyond as they plan their journey after high school.

We are also keen to connect with industry partners and community organisations across NSW to collaborate and promote CDU courses, helping more students access quality education and career pathways.
