~SW Track & Field~
CCC were well represented at the recent South West Track & Field Trials. We had 18 students selected in the SW team to attend the State Championships. On top of this great result, of the 18 Age Champions announced, 10 were CCC students! To be the best athlete in your age group in the region is an outstanding achievement. Congratulations to you all!

~Year 8 Bunya Mountains Excursion~
The Year 8 students recently embarked on an excursion to the Bunya Mountains as part of their Geography and English studies. They completed a scenic walk and produced field sketches of various landscapes and landforms to support their Geography assessment. Students also observed advertising campaigns throughout the area to assist with their English coursework on persuasive texts.

~Hospitality Practices Café Excursion~
Students in Hospitality Practices enjoyed an excursion to Toowoomba, where they visited two local eateries and experienced casual dining from a hospitality and food studies perspective. At each venue, students critically evaluated key elements of the dining experience, including menu design and style, restaurant atmosphere, location, and overall service. These observations will inform and enrich their assessment work.

Congratulations to all our students who participated in the ensemble, duet and solo sections at the recent Dalby Instrumental Music Eisteddfod. We are proud of your efforts and achievements. Hunter is solo!!!

Hunter received one of the four flight training scholarships of 2025. Today Hunter completed his first solo first and is on his way to completing his Recreational Pilot Certificate.

Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the Year 5&6 and Year 7&8 QAMT Maths Competitions this week! With so many teams competing in these events, we are extremely proud of your efforts, determination and enthusiasm. Well done on representing our College so positively.
