Hunter is solo!!!

Hunter received one of the four flight training scholarships of 2025. Today Hunter completed his first solo first and is on his way to completing his Recreational Pilot Certificate.

Congratulations on your first solo flight, Evie 🤙

Evie received one of the four flight training scholarships of 2025. This afternoon Evie confidently launched the plane and conducted her first solo flight, safely landing back on runway 14.

Flight Training Scholarship ✈️

How would you like 20 hours of flight training for free? The Kangawallafox Flight School scholarship will soon be open for applications and is valued at $7,200.

This year we've simplified the eligibility requirements for applicants -
✅Be a resident of the Western Downs Regional Council area
✅Aged between 14 - 70
✅Have a health standard sufficient to hold a private vehicle driver licence
✅Can clearly speak and understand the English language
✅Able to complete flight training from the Chinchilla Aerodrome
✅Able to become a financial member of Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAus)

The aim of this scholarship is to provide an avenue for someone to start their aviation journey. Someone that may not have considered becoming a pilot if this opportunity didn't present itself. This being said, anyone with previous flight experience is also able to apply. We'll post an update when the application process is open.

This is our way our giving back to the local community. The community that supports and encourages us to continue providing aviation training right here on the Western Downs. At Kangawallafox Flight School, we're not just training pilots, we're creating aviators.
