🚨 Coffee Cart Power Outage Alert! 🚨

Bad news, coffee lovers: due to an unexpected power issue impacting the Music Block and OSHC, the P&C Coffee Cart will be taking an unscheduled break tomorrow.

Apparently the power has run flat... and so will some of us without our usual caffeine fix! 🔋☕😴

We're hopeful the issue will be resolved quickly. If not, we'll find a temporary spot to set up and aim to be back in action on Friday next week.

Until then, please keep yourselves charged however you can. We suggest extra sleep, but we know that's probably unrealistic.

See you tomorrow for Eco Club where we will admire all of our new flowers and eat our giant tomato 🍅

🌈 Happy Holidays from the P&C! 🌈

As Term 3 comes to a close, we would like to wish all of our school families a happy, safe and well-deserved holiday break. We hope everyone enjoys some quality time with family and friends and returns refreshed for Term 4.

Our Colour Run is officially done and dusted, and what an incredible success it has been! So far, our amazing school community has raised an outstanding $17,931. 🎉

A huge thank you goes to our wonderful parent volunteers, OSHC Team, teachers and to our Groundsman, Josh, for all their help and hard work on the day. Events like this simply wouldn't be possible without your support.

Don't forget – the fundraising portal closes at midnight tonight, so there's still time for any last-minute donations. We're so close to our $20,000 goal, and it would be fantastic to get there so the kids can slime the Principal! 💚

No matter where we finish, this is an incredible achievement and a true reflection of the generosity and spirit of our school community.

Thank you for your support, enthusiasm and fundraising efforts. We couldn't do it without you.

See you all in Term 4! 😊

🎭 Looking for an activity that builds confidence, creativity and communication skills? 🎭

Did you know that Speak Up Studio runs fantastic Speech & Drama classes right here at Craigslea State School?

Drama is so much more than performing. It helps children:
✨ Build confidence and self-esteem
✨ Develop communication and public speaking skills
✨ Improve creativity and problem-solving
✨ Learn teamwork and collaboration✨ Make new friends in a fun, supportive environment

And the best part for busy families? 🙌
✅ No need to stay and wait — students are taken to class afterwards.✅ Children can be collected from OSHC and taken to drama.✅ Older students can be taken back to OSHC after class.✅ A perfect solution for families with a child in Junior Band — younger siblings can enjoy a fun, enriching activity at the same time!

🌟 Speak Up Studio is especially looking to grow the younger "Storytellers" class (Prep–Year 2), so now is a wonderful time to get involved and help your child discover the joy of storytelling, imagination and performance.

📍 Craigslea State School Hall Foyer🎭 Storytellers (Prep–Year 2) – Thursdays, 8:15am–8:45am🎭 Inventors (Years 3–6) – Thursdays, 7:30am–8:15am

Children also have the opportunity to perform on stage in a fully costumed annual concert in Term 4! 🌟

🌈 Colour Fun Run – This Friday! 🎉

The excitement is building for our P&C Colour Fun Run this Friday, 18 September!

Students who want to be fully covered in colour are encouraged to wear a white shirt so the vibrant powders really shine. Students who prefer not to be covered in colour are welcome to wear their usual school uniform and participate in a way that feels comfortable for them.

🕐 Lunch will be at 1:00pm and the Colour Run starts at 1:45pm.

💰 Fundraising is still open this week, and if we reach our $20,000 goal, the students will get to SLIME THE PRINCIPAL! 🤩

🙌 We need volunteers to help make the day a success:
12:30pm – Set up gazebos and the Start/Finish inflatable
1:30pm – Prepare chalk stations and help spray runners with colour
3:00pm – Pack up after the event

👉 Volunteer here: https://volunteersignup.org/HA4BA

Thank you for your support—we can't wait for an afternoon full of colour, fun and community spirit! 🌈🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💙💚💛❤️🩷

Make sure you come down to Huxtable Park this morning for a hot coffee and to provide feedback to Councillor Danita Parry on the Helicopter playground upgrade! The scouts are putting on a free sausage sizzle, you can learn more about bush care in the area and there's face painting for the kids (and kids at heart).
