🌱National Science Week 15th-23rd August!✨️

This years theme is Seeds of Science: Nurturing Science for All. Our 3-year-old and 4-year-old groups have embraced lots of opportunities to explore, investigate, experiment and ask questions! From growing seeds and exploring magnets to investigating sea life, bugs, fossils and rocks, the children have been developing their curiosity and thinking like scientists.

We have also enjoyed some exciting experiments, including a volcano experiment, watching flowers change colour and creating a travelling rainbow. 🌸🌈 We investigated colour mixing, explored the solar system and even made and tested our own dandelion helicopters!

It has been wonderful to see the children making predictions, observing changes, sharing their ideas and wondering “What will happen if…?” Science Week has reminded us that science is everywhere and that our Bilby and Wallaby children are naturally curious scientists who love to explore and discover!

What beautiful days we have shared at Bush Kinder last Friday and today 🌿☀️
Our adventures have included visiting the local donkey, stopping quietly on our walk back from the toilets to listen carefully to the frogs, and enjoying picnics together in the sunshine. The children have been busy exploring the natural surroundings - searching for bugs, climbing trees, building, and using their imaginations in so many wonderful ways.
It has been lovely to see the children so engaged, curious, confident and connected with Country as they learn through play, discovery and shared experiences outdoors. 🍃🐸🪵🐞

Anzac Day is a day to remember all those who fought in wars, it marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian forces during the First World War. ANZAC Day honors all Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions.
The Bilby and Wallaby groups made a collaborative art piece and it was taken to the Cheltenham RSL by the Wallaby Group during their Bush Kinder session yesterday. It will be proudly displayed during the dawn service tomorrow.
