THE CHELSEA HEIGHTS CHALLENGE IS HERE!

We’re excited to launch the Chelsea Heights Challenge - a whole-school fundraising event bringing together fun, teamwork and community spirit!

Over the next six weeks, our students will be working together to raise funds for Chelsea Heights Primary School, with some fantastic whole-school rewards to unlock along the way!

The Challenge will culminate on Friday 20 November, when every student will have the opportunity to take on our exciting Ninja Warrior course! 🥷

And the more we raise, the more our students unlock - from Zooper Doopers, free dress and extra playtime, through to class parties, sliming some familiar faces and even an ULTIMATE ACTIVITIES DAY!

We’d love the support of our wider Chelsea Heights community!

Whether you’re a family member, friend, local resident, past student or local business, every donation - big or small - will help us reach our goal and support our school.

Today, some of our students attended a smoking ceremony and planted native plants to celebrate the official opening of the new ‘Heights Park’.

Students have spent time exploring how to create form using recycled objects.

Bottles, balls and cardboard were used to create the shape of their bird. Once wrapped with masking tape students then layered their bird form with white tissue paper mache. When this layer was dry, they added coloured tissue paper to begin to bring their birds to life.

After our birds were dry, students used their knowledge of line and shape to decorate their bird and add character. Finishing off with a feathered plume, our little 3D birds have begun flying their way home.

🎭 Remote Mayhem! What a show! 🎶

What an outstanding Grade 5 and 6 concert! From the amazing dance moves and brilliant acting to the catchy tunes, our students put on a fantastic performance! We are so proud of every single one of them! 🌟

A special congratulations to our amazing main cast, Morgan, Fraser, Felix, Lara, Asha and Stella, for their wonderful performances!

A HUGE thank you to the incredible Rochelle MacDonald, our outstanding Performing Arts Teacher, who wrote, choreographed and directed the entire concert! Your creativity, dedication and hard work brought Remote Mayhem to life! ❤️

🏆 NETBALL STATE CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What a wonderful day for our Grade 6 Girls Netball Team, who were crowned State Champions today! 🏐💙

The girls have had such a fantastic season, remaining undefeated throughout, and today was a very special way to finish it.

A huge congratulations to Emily, Ivy, Neve, Evelyn, Lara, Isla, Macy, Izzy, Ella, Tiana and Willow. We are so proud of you all and hope you enjoy celebrating this amazing achievement together! 🎉

A big thank you to Ms Thomas, Ms Wise and Ms Marino for coaching and supporting the girls throughout their netball journey.

Big congrats to our girl’s netball team who took out the Region Competition and have earned their place at the Primary Girls State Netball Finals in September!

A big thank you to all the parents who supported the team by transporting students to and from the competition, and to Ms Thomas and Ms Wise for their fantastic coaching and support.

We are incredibly proud of you all — well done, and Good Luck for the State Netball Finals.

We kicked off Children’s Book Week Celebrations today with a very special author visit!

We were so lucky to welcome author Jane Godwin to our school! Jane shared where she gets her inspiration, how she plans and develops her stories, and how she works closely with illustrators to bring her books to life.

We also discovered just how long and thoughtful the process of writing a book can be!

The students loved meeting Jane, asking questions and having their books signed. A wonderful experience that has hopefully inspired some budding authors of our own!

Huge thanks to Ms Tesone for organising this amazing experience for us!

Today, we had so much fun celebrating Mr Capp and Mr Ford!

They started their day by reading some lovely messages from staff, students and families.

They then participated in a learning walk where they visited all classrooms, only to discover that the lessons were all about them! There were fun stories, writing tasks, songs and even a choir performance!

We had a morning tea with heartfelt speeches and then finished the day with a hilarious quiz over the loud speaker!

Safe to say we all enjoyed celebrating our wonderful Principals and feel so lucky to have leaders like Mr Capp and Mr Ford at CHPS!
