If they can’t walk and steer, they can’t trot and steer.
If they can’t balance at the trot, they aren’t ready to canter.
If they can’t go catch their own horse, groom it, tack it up and take responsibility for it, how are they supposed to lead that horse from the saddle?

Going faster does not equal getting better. Strapping your kid to a horse and sending them into the arena isn’t making them better, it’s setting them up to get hurt.

You might think watching your kid walk circles isn’t exciting. You might think they should be cantering, jumping “doing more.”

But sometimes they’re simply not ready.

And respectfully — that’s why you hired an instructor. Because knowing how and when to progress a rider is our job.

We aren’t holding your kid back. We’re building the foundation that keeps them safe and makes them GOOD.

New pony alert!

She finally has a name! ✨🍯

We had a very serious group discussion at Canter Club this morning and our amazing kids voted...

Please welcome HONEY to the family!

Honey is a 14hh, approx 15yo Arab x pony who came to us straight from the sales. She doesn’t have much history, so we’re so excited to give her a new chapter filled with cuddles, lessons and lots of love.

She’s sweet, she’s golden, and she’s 100% junior-committee approved 😂

Honey is settling in beautifully and the kids are already obsessed. We can’t wait for all the adventures ahead with her.

Full circle moment 💛

This kid had no idea she’d grow up to run her own riding school.
She just knew she loved horses and wanted to learn everything.

Standing here at about 12 or 13, at a horse show, probably trying to look brave 😂

Now I get to be the coach I needed back then.
Patient. Kind. Safety first. Confidence always.

Did you know? 👀

Horses can see almost 360 degrees around them!
The only blind spots they have are directly in front of their nose and directly behind them.

That’s why we teach kids to always approach a pony from the side and talk to them first.

Before we ever get on, we teach:
1. Safe Handling - How to approach and lead respectfully
2. Horse Body Language - How to read what your pony is saying
3. Care + Welfare - The 5 needs every horse must have

When kids understand their horse first, they become safer, kinder, and more confident riders.

What an AMAZING afternoon of lessons!!

We had some super exciting moments today.. from great canter work, breakthroughs with cheeky ponies, to first trots off lead - everyone did a fantastic job, and I am SOOO super proud of everyone! Well done!
