Mercy Catholic College students recently joined students from St Leo’s Catholic College at the 2026 Transport for NSW STEMC Careers Day at Rosehill Gardens, exploring future opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Construction.
Students engaged with industry professionals, experienced emerging technologies including drones, robotics and virtual reality, and gained valuable insights into future career pathways.
As Year 10 student Lucia L. reflected, "It was very interactive and fun with many interesting activities and learning about the different pathways." Year 10 student Lizzy S. also enjoyed the experience, sharing, "I really loved seeing all of the robots and drones."
Thank you to Transport for NSW and RIEP NSW Department of Education for providing this engaging and inspiring experience.

Huge congratulations to Mercy Catholic College ex-student Natalie Harmata on her commitment to Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, USA!
Natalie’s journey through the Junior College pathway reflects resilience, hard work, and determination. The talented 5’11” wing is now set to take the next step into NCAA basketball as she enters her junior year — and we couldn’t be prouder.
The entire Mercy community will be cheering you on every step of the way!

ALL IN for Reconciliation- National Reconciliation Week 2026
27 May – 3 June
This week, we join communities across Australia in recognising National Reconciliation Week, a time to learn about our shared histories, honour the cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and reflect on how each of us can contribute to reconciliation.
This year’s theme, All In, is a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day, through listening, embracing truth telling, learning, respect and meaningful action.
As we acknowledge 25 years of Reconciliation Australia, we recognise both the progress made and the important work still ahead.
Across our schools and communities, we invite our students, families and staff to be All In, to deepen understanding, celebrate culture, and continue walking together toward a more just and connected future.
How will your school or family be “All In” for reconciliation this week?
