What's happening at Dalrymple Trade Training Centre?

We are pleased to welcome our 2026 student cohort to the Dalrymple Trade Training Centre. These students are studying VETiS Certificate II Courses in Engineering Pathways and Automotive Preparation. We are excited to see some quality projects being turned out this year. These students are setting themselves up with skills that will be valuable to employers in our community and set themselves up for successful careers.

VETiS (Vocational Education and Training in Schools) allows senior high school students to gain nationally recognised vocational qualifications, practical industry skills, and credits towards their QCE while still at school.

Stay tuned for more updates on other students studying here at the trade centre this year, and some of the activities they complete while progressing through their courses.

The Dalrymple Trade Training Centre will be closed for the school holiday period Monday 15th December 2025 and reopening Monday 19th January 2026.

TAFE North QLD will have limited hours during this period. For more details contact 1300 308 233 (ext. 5)

Grant Opportunity for Community Training in Charters Towers

The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training offers Skilling Queenslanders for Work grants for local training initiatives. If successful, training can be delivered right here in Charters Towers.
