SECONDARY INTERHOUSE ATHLETICS πŸ’œπŸ’šπŸ’› // What an incredible Secondary Interhouse Athletics Carnival!

The competition was fierce, the House spirit was outstanding and our students should be incredibly proud of their efforts over the two day carnival.

Congratulations to all of our Age Champions and Runner-Ups on their outstanding achievements, and a special mention to the seven records that were broken during this year's carnival!

A special congratulations to Addisen-Lea, winner of the D.K. Beneke Trophy for Most Individual Points (Girls), and Elia, winner of the Jos Allingham Trophy for Most Individual Points (Boys).

And of course, congratulations to our Champion House for 2026, BRYCE DICKSON! πŸ†β€οΈπŸ’›

RUGBY LEAGUE πŸ‰πŸ’™ // Another exciting week of schoolboy Rugby League saw our teams put in plenty of effort and determination on the field.

Our 13s 'White' side battled hard against ASSG but were defeated 26-18 in a spirited contest. The boys showed great resilience and can be proud of their efforts this season.

Our 15s team enjoyed a thrilling encounter with CCC, emerging victorious 14-12 after a hard-fought match. Congratulations to the team on a well-earned win!

We now turn our attention to the Blackhawks Schoolboys Trophy Grand Final in Townsville on Monday. We wish our 15s and 13s 'Blue' teams all the very best as they take on the competition's biggest stage!

Good luck boys, we are all behind you!

CLUB NETBALL DRAW πŸπŸ’Ž // Wednesday 3 June

PEDAL PRIX TOWNSVILLE πŸ’™πŸ // Our BTC Bolters and BTC Braves recently took to the Reid Park track for the 8 hour endurance QLD Super Series Pedal Prix event in Townsville.

In a fantastic first event away from home, our Junior Boys team showed great determination and teamwork, completing an impressive 250 laps to finish 3rd in their division.

Our Senior Boys team also delivered an outstanding performance, leading their division for part of the day before finishing a highly credible 2nd place after completing 420 laps. That's pedaling nonstop for approximately 310km!!! πŸ”₯πŸ’ͺ

A huge congratulations to all riders, support crew and families who represented BTC so proudly throughout the day. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead as we prepare for our next event in Emerald at the beginning of Term 3. πŸ’™

CROSS COUNTRY SUCCESS πŸ’™πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβ€βž‘οΈ // Congratulations to all 14 of our students who proudly represented the school at the Northern Region Cross Country trials. Competing against some of the best runners from across the region, our students all tried their best throughout the day.

We are especially proud to celebrate the students who have been selected to represent the Northern Region at the upcoming State Championships:

⏱️ Aria - 1st Place (10 Years Girls)
⏱️ Hooper - 3rd Place (14 Years Boys)
⏱️ Indie - 4th Place (13 Years Girls)

A special mention also to our students who achieved excellent top 20 finishes in highly competitive fields:

⭐ Kenzie - 10th Place (13 Years Girls)
⭐ Carter - 11th Place (10 Years Boys)
⭐ Elia - 19th Place (Open Boys)

These results are a wonderful reflection of the hard work and dedication shown throughout the season. We wish Aria, Hooper and Indie all the very best as they prepare to compete at the State Championships. πŸ’™

NETBALL FINALS πŸπŸ™Œ // Congratulations to all of our Interschool Netball teams on an outstanding night of competition, with every team delivering fantastic performances on court.

Our girls achieved some incredible results πŸ†

πŸ”Ή Firsts defeated CCC 29-27

A special congratulations to our First team, whose match was an absolute thriller from start to finish. After scores were locked at full time, the game remained tied through two periods of extra time. Showing tremendous composure and determination the girls held their nerve to secure a hard-fought 29-27 victory in a truly unforgettable finish.

We are so proud of all of our players throughout the season. Congratulations on your Premierships! πŸ’™
