𝗦𝗦 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 🏐
Congratulations to our 13s, 15s and Seconds teams, who competed in the Senior School Inter-School Netball Gala Finals on Monday evening.

While all three teams went down in hard-fought matches, each finished as runners-up in their respective divisions — a fantastic achievement. 👏
A special mention also to our Firsts team, who finished third overall after narrowly missing a place in the finals following last week's round robin competition.

Well done to all players on a wonderful Inter-School season. We wish you all the best for the remainder of the club season!

𝗥𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🖤🤍🖤
What a great weekend we had last weekend celebrating the people, memories and traditions that make ASSG so special.

The festivities kicked off on Friday night with our annual sporting fixtures against Columba Catholic College, with our students recording a mix of wins, losses and draws across the Rugby League and Netball. We thank everyone who came along to cheer them on!

Over the weekend, past students, families, and friends of the School returned to campus to reconnect, reminisce and catch up with old friends. It was wonderful to see so many generations of the ASSG community together, sharing stories and celebrating their connection to the School.

𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟰 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 🌿🐊
Recently, our Year 4 students enjoyed an exciting overnight excursion to Billabong Sanctuary alongside Mrs Walsh, Mrs Clarke and Mrs Dunn.

The adventure was packed with memorable experiences, including a torch-lit nocturnal walk with Ranger Ray, movies and popcorn under the stars, a brisk morning dance session by the water, and up-close encounters with a variety of fascinating animals, including turtles, a python and a giant crocodile. 🐍🐊🐢

The excursion provided a valuable real-world connection to the students' Science unit on rainforest habitats. During a special presentation with Hope the Southern Cassowary, students impressed Ranger Bas with their thoughtful questions, keen observations and strong prediction skills.

It was a wonderful opportunity for students to extend their learning beyond the classroom while creating lasting memories with their peers. 🐢✨

🎭✨ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄! ✨🎭
After months of rehearsals, dedication and hard work, our students took to the stage and delivered an incredible production of Disney's High School Musical JR. 🏀🎶🎤

From the lead roles to the ensemble and backstage crew, every student played an important part in bringing this much-loved musical to life. The energy, talent and enthusiasm on display across both performances made for a truly memorable experience.

We are so proud of all students involved for the commitment, teamwork and confidence they demonstrated throughout the journey.

Our Years 9, 10, 11 & 12 students spent the morning at the 2026 Charters Towers Careers Expo today.
It was a great opportunity for students to explore a range of possible pathways for further training, education, and employment. From checking out interactive trade displays to asking great questions about university life, our students did a fantastic job taking charge of their future directions. It’s safe to say they returned with plenty of inspiration and big goals for what comes next!

A big thank you to the Dalrymple Trade Training Centre, along with school staff, for organising a fantastic experience. 🤩
