This afternoon at assembly our leaders led us in prayer. Our Teen Vinnies members spoke about the Winter Appeal. We celebrated our Notable Mention "Respect for College Traditions" Recipients.

Our College QISSRL (Confro) and QISSN teams were announced for the upcoming competitions in the holidays.

The excitement is building as our Primary Interhouse Athletics Carnival approaches! Join us next Wednesday, 10 June, at Mount Carmel Campus for a day of competition, teamwork, and house spirit.

💙❤️💛💚 Students are encouraged to wear their House shirts and represent their House with pride as they compete for valuable points and bragging rights.

Recently, Abby and Dale, two of our Year 12 students, had the incredible opportunity to attend the JCU: James Cook University, Australia Heroes in Health program and they came back feeling inspired by what they experienced. Abby summed it up perfectly: “𝟭𝟬 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟬, 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱.”👩‍⚕️

We’re proud of Abby and Dale for stepping into this opportunity and gaining valuable insight into the world of health. Programs like this help shape confident, informed future professionals and we love seeing their passion grow. 🩺🔬

Congratulations to our Firsts XIII, who secured a commanding 42–12 victory over Abergowrie this afternoon in Townsville.

The win sees the team advance to the Townsville Blackhawks Trophy Grand Final, where they will take on Good Counsel College, Innisfail, on Monday evening at Brothers.

This week, our little learners will be getting creative with all things farmyard! Through hands-on craft and sensory experiences, children will explore muddy pigs, fluffy sheep, feathered hens and woolly farm friends while developing their fine motor skills, imagination and curiosity. 🌾✨

With plenty of opportunities to create, explore and play, it's sure to be a morning full of smiles, laughter and farmyard-inspired fun. We can't wait to see our little farmers in action! 🐄🐑🚜

Congratulations to all of our netball teams who represented Columba Catholic College with pride, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship at the Interschool Netball Gala last night.

A special congratulations to our 15s team, who were crowned champions after a fantastic final performance! 🏆👏

Our Firsts team kept spectators on the edge of their seats in a thrilling grand final that went into extra time, finishing as worthy runners-up after an incredible contest.

Our 13s team secured 3rd place, while our Seconds team finished 4th overall, both demonstrating great teamwork and commitment throughout the competition. 👏

Thank you to our coaches, families, and supporters who came along to cheer on our girls. Your encouragement from the sidelines helped make the night so special. 🙌

We are incredibly proud of every player who wore the Columba colours and gave their all on the court. ❤️💙💛
