Virginia Park is a working cattle station on the Flinders Highway, one hour west of Townsville Our facilities can accommodate groups of up to 70 people.

For more than 15 years, owners Sue and Rob have proudly hosted a great number of school camps. With warm country hospitality and unique activities that only an outback station can provide, it is no wonder that our school visitors choose to return, year after year.

The Year 6 classes from St Catherine's Catholic College came, saw and conquered…unfortunately not in the first State of Origin match that many of our Queensland supporters were hoping for, 🏈 but we still shared a wonderful few days full of fun, friendship and adventure!

We always love having the SCCC crew visit Virginia Park Station. A huge thank you to Kelly, Melissa, Peter and all the staff for making it such a seamless and enjoyable camp for all 😊

Camp season 2026 at Virginia Park Station has officially kicked off with a bang with the hosting of the Year 5’s from Calvary Christian College!

Thanks to our new dorm extension, we were excited to welcome our first group of 90 campers. We have to say, this group brought some amazing energy, outstanding dining room manners, and so much enthusiasm throughout their stay.

It was an absolute pleasure hosting them and we hope they all enjoyed an unforgettable camp experience! Thanks to Jess and all the crew from Calvary for their efforts ✨

A few days ago, our children were discussing their top three “happy places” and asked me to share mine. My first thought was those rare, slow mornings with them, where time slows and the clock is not counted. A close second was a calm muster beside the hubby and kids when all is going to plan, and where the world feels quiet and full all at once.

We hope your Easter weekend brought you and your family a moment of two of joy that feels as special as this does for ours 💛✨🌅

The perks of being the littlest one… there’s always room for you on a lick run! 🐄✨🐕

Recent rains have replenished the seasonal dam infront of the homesteads… which has meant the weekend out here has been full of giggles and lively chaos as a homemade forty-gallon drum raft set sail with three little people at the helm! 😅

We’re nearing the end of placement with this terrific trio! For those who may not know, our amazing future JCU: James Cook University, Australia veterinary students are required to complete a series of work placements—and lucky for us, cattle placement is one of them.

Myrna, Claire and Erin have spent the past week and a half with us, scrubbing troughs, overseeing back-lining, learning and assisting with erosion control, and even getting the chance to witness a local bull sale.

We are fortunate to host veterinary students from time to time and are always happy to support them along their journey to graduation. We wish these three all the very best as they continue their veterinary careers! 🐄🎓

Now and then you hear that the Aussie larrikin is a dying breed… but we think this young lad proves otherwise! A special birthday shout-out to Gabriel — a pretty terrific offsider, city boy turned cowboy, with a witty, jovial, ever-positive personality who’s impossible not to love! 🎉
