Located in Charlton, the North Central Trade Training Centre (NCTTC) provides start-of-the-art vocational educational & training facilities to meet the needs of students in Years 9 to 12.

GRAND FINAL DAY | VET LUNCHTIME BASKETBALL COMPETITION

Tomorrow is the day!

After a series of matches, it is Grand Final Day. Good luck to all teams. Let's hope we see some great basketball, played with the same positive, competitive spirit we have seen all term.

The winning teams will enjoy lunch on us next week!

Huge thanks to Rach & her VET Sport, Aquatics & Recreation class who organised the competition, umpired & scored - an amazing effort!

CLIENT DAYS | VET BEAUTY SERVICES
On the 3rd, 10th & 17th September, the VET Beauty Services class will be opening the doors for its Term 3 Client Days.

These days enable our students to complete their assessments, while working with members of the public.

THANKS 'MRS T' | YEAR 9 FOOD TECHNOLOGY & VET COOKERY

With Fiona on leave this term, Kim Thompson, or 'Mrs T' as she is affectionately known around these parts, returned to her old stomping ground in the NCTTC kitchen!

On Wednesday's, Mrs T has taught Food Technology with the St Arnaud Secondary College & Wedderburn College students & on Thursday's she has worked alongside Kylie in the VET Cookery class.

Our students have been very fortunate to work with Kim, who brought with her decades of knowledge & experience as a Food Technology teacher.

Thanks so much Kim! It was a pleasure having you back as part of the team. Big thanks to Bri Zagame who stepped in today! 🧡

Next week, we welcome back Fiona who will no doubt have many amazing culinary food tales to share! 🍝

CLIENT DAY BOOKINGS NOW AVAILABLE | VET SALON ASSISTANT 💆🏼‍♀️

Our VET Salon Assistant students are taking bookings for their Client Days, which are being held for the next few weeks (details in the post).

Come in for a head wash, head massage & style for only $5.00 while supporting our students with their assessments.

Why not make a day of it! While you're feeling good & looking great why not grab a coffee at Caffeinated Chaos & a bite to eat at CCH Charlton, The Vale of Avoca or Charlton Bakery.

VET COOKERY | RED HATTERS RETURN ~ CHRISTMAS IN JULY 🎄🎅🤶

Our VET Cookery students, ably guided by Kylie, Kim & Rach, recently put their culinary skills to the test while providing a Christmas themed luncheon for the ‘Red Hatters’.

Roast beef & turkey with all the traditional trimmings, followed by sticky date puddings & red velvet cupcakes, were enjoyed by all.

This event has become an annual tradition & the students look forward to it as much as the guests!

This wonderful event enabled our students to showcase their skills, while bringing members of the community together for a fun & enjoyable celebration! Well done Jesse, Chayse, Raiden, Seth, Morgan, Wes, Zach, Ruby, Aidy, Clancy & Dylan! 🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳

CLIENT DAYS | VET SALON ASSISTANT
On selected dates in July, August & September, our VET Salon Assistant students are seeking clients for salon services (hair wash, head massage & blow wave). Your support will enable our students to complete assessments while continuing to build on their skills & knowledge. And for a $5.00 donation, you will look good & feel great!

AEU INDUSTRIAL ACTION | IMPACT ON VET CLASSES

This Thursday 23rd July is a day of industrial action for members of the AEU.

Schools, families & students are asked to note the following plans for the North Central Trade Training Centre:

👉 ALL VET class WILL RUN AS NORMAL, aside from VET Community Services.

👉 Students are required to attend as usual, except for Year 1 & 2 VET Community Services students. This class will not be running & these students are asked to follow the directives from their home school.
