✨MEET OUR SINGING TEACHERS✨

Say hello to our amazing singing teacher team! At Hive Youth, our teachers, Bridget, Lucy, Renee, and Brianna, have been working tirelessly to produce the best results for our students. During their meeting a few weeks ago, we were able to grab some content to get to know them. Our teachers have a passion for music many of our students share, and their wealth of knowledge when it comes to the voice and how it operates is so important when it comes to teaching young people, and supporting their developing voice! ✨ Something magical is taking shape! 🍯

Our young performers are busy rehearsing for Winnie-the-Pooh, bringing the Hundred Acre Wood to life one scene, song and silly moment at a time! 🌳🎭

From learning lines to finding their characters and working together as an ensemble, we’re loving watching these kids grow in confidence, creativity and joy throughout rehearsals. 💛

We can’t wait to share the magic with you! 🐝 ✨

What kind of machine is this??? Comment down below your guesses🤔

Physical theatre is a hit with our Thursday Year 5-6 drama class! They’ve been working hard on how to tell a story without dialogue, which is a tricky task! One of the exercises we’ve been smashing out is “The Machine”

How do you play “The Machine”?
Simple! A group stands in a circle and one at a time, each actor walks into the centre and commences a robotic movement with an accompanying sound, the activity keeps going until all actors are in the middle, and it creates a cohesive and (somewhat!) functional machine. This activity is a great warm up and introduction to the team work and movement required for any physical theatre ensemble!

Five weeks to go! 🍯🐝✨

The excitement is officially building for our Mini Academy’s upcoming Winnie the Pooh performance!

This week was extra special as our little performers received their very own Winnie the Pooh show T-shirts and had their headshots taken, making everything feel very real! 📸💛

We can’t wait to watch these little stars bring the magic of the Hundred Acre Wood to life on stage. 🌳🐻🍯

Only 5 weeks to go… let the countdown begin! 🎭✨

MEET ABI🍫✨

Our wonderful Theatre classes leader and Kindy to Year 2 teacher, Abi, is the best! Abi joined our Hive Youth Theatre team mid last year, and has been supporting Hive Youth to grow and adapt! Abi’s years of experience working with children in the UK, Singapore, and now Australia, has provided us with her wealth of knowledge when it comes to Musical Theatre and Drama. Many of our programs Abi is in charge of, including Theatre Mini’s, 3-5 Years Drama, and Kindy to Year 2 Musical Theatre, Abi also oversees all of our other programs! We are so lucky to have someone as amazing as Abi on our team, and she loves it too!
