Lake Macquarie Educational Preschool caters for all children from 6 weeks to 6 years old, in our purpose built preschool that helps children develop the fundamental skills in a fun and safe environment. LMEP is an educational focused centre that gives every child the opportunity to play while they're engaged in educational experiences and a high quality o

It is well known that education makes a difference to the life you live in modern society. Why not ensure that learning is fun and engaging at a young age, so that a life of learning and discovering can continue throughout your life. Our educators are specialists in the latest curriculum Early Years Learning Framework and see the need to start early in language, literacy and numeracy before the staff ratio moves from 1:10 to 1:20 in primary school. These changes will not concern an LMEP preschooler as they "start early and finish first". All meals, nappies, sunscreen and security access fobs are provided by LMEP. Linen is also provided for our Early Learner’s room children. We are an accredited Sun Safe service. Our building had security access to ensure the safety of your child/ren. Deciding to leave your child in the care of someone else is one of the hardest decisions a parent will ever make. At LMEP we are committed to ensuring both your family and child/ren feels comfortable and supported whilst attending our service. When you become part of the LMEP family you will ‘Enter as strangers and leave as friends’.

✨ Exciting News for Our Preschool Community! ✨
After 15 wonderful years under the leadership of Owen and Lucy Hewitt, Lake Macquarie Educational Preschool is entering a new chapter. I’m pleased to share that I will become the new Owner and Approved Provider in January 2026.

Having served as Director for over six years, I’m committed to ensuring our preschool remains a caring, supportive, and inspiring place for every child.

✨ Healthy Harold Visits LMEP! ✨
This week our preschoolers had a wonderful time learning with Healthy Harold and our amazing Life Ed educator, Rebecca! 💛🦒
Through stories, games, and lots of fun, the children explored “Body Boundaries” — an age-appropriate program that helps them learn about:
🌟 My body belongs to me
🫧 Personal space & our “personal bubbles”
💛 Saying “yes” or “no” to touch
🧠 Using the correct names for private body parts
🤝 Respecting others’ boundaries
👩‍🏫 Identifying trusted adults who can help
Rebecca guided the children with kindness and care, helping them build confidence and understand that they have a voice — and it matters!
We’re so proud of our little learners for engaging so thoughtfully and growing their personal safety skills in such a positive way.🧡
