Senior School Showcase
Our College celebrated the hard work of our Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) students at the Senior School Showcase. The night featured displays from our Visual Arts students and performances from our Music and Drama students. It was a great opportunity to see the breadth of talent across our Senior School CAPA programs and the skills of our students.

Our students were encouraged and challenged by Taylor Forward from Dare2Drift, who joined us as our Chapel guest speaker.

Through his personal story, Taylor highlighted the importance of perseverance, wise choices, and staying focused on the path ahead. Students enjoyed the opportunity to meet Taylor and view his drift car during recess and lunch.

We are grateful for opportunities like these that help connect real-life experiences with valuable life lessons for our students.

SCIENCE WEEK
Our students celebrated National Science Week 2026 with a variety of engaging activities designed to spark curiosity and inspire discovery. Throughout the week, students experienced science in action through a range of hands-on activities, including liquid nitrogen ice cream, elephant's toothpaste, popping boba, dry ice experiments, and cyanotype printing. Students had the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative Science Week mural, explore the night sky through telescopes, and put their knowledge to the test in a Science Trivia Challenge.

Through science, we gain a deeper appreciation of the complexity, order and beauty woven throughout creation. We are grateful to our staff, students, and families who helped make the week such a success!

JAECG & AET Polo Shirts //
During a recent Senior School assembly, our brand-new polo shirts were unveiled. They were thoughtfully designed in collaboration with local artist Jess Hopcroft from Dhiiyaan Art. Created with input from our JAECG and AET Leadership Teams, members, and the ongoing support of Miss Britt, the design beautifully reflects the heart of our school community.

The artwork features flowing waterways, shining stars, and a central gathering place, symbolising connection, belonging, and the journey we share together. It also honours our local landscape through references to Black Creek, which runs behind our college, and the surrounding mountain ranges.

A huge thank you to Jess from Dhiiyaan Art, the Korreil Wonnai AECG - Cessnock & Kurri Kurri Executive Team, Michael from Grenada Promotional Products, and Miss Britt for helping bring this meaningful project to life.

We are incredibly proud of the story this design tells and look forward to seeing it worn with pride for years to come.
