A little milestone worth pausing for. 🌿📚

Today I searched Emma Ewer Author on Google and saw something that made my heart feel very full.

There it was.

My Ark House author page.
My children’s author Instagram.
And Made on Purpose™ beginning to appear in the world. 🦊✝️

This may look like a simple search result, but to me it represents years of prayer, obedience, courage, quiet work, and trusting God with the story He placed in my heart. 🙏🩷

Made on Purpose™ was written for every child who needs to know they are not an accident, not too much, not forgotten, and not outside the love of God.

They are known.
They are deeply loved.
They were made on purpose.

I am so grateful for this little beginning, and so expectant for the children and families this book will one day reach.

Thank You, Lord, for every small door You open. 🩷

As we step into the school holidays, I’ve been reflecting on my children’s journeys while reading their report cards and feeling deeply grateful for the educators who truly see children 🩷🌷

The ones who notice the quiet child.
The ones who slow down.
The ones who meet children where they are.

The ones who meet them with calm.
The ones who see competence, even when it looks different.
The ones who see beyond the behaviour, the silence, the worry or the difference.

The quiet noticing matters.
The gentle voice matters.
The child-level patience matters.
The “I see you” moments matter.

Behind every report card is a child with a story

A child growing in their own time.
A child made in the image of God.
A child carrying strengths, needs, questions, courage and tenderness that cannot always be captured in a grade or comment box.

So today, I want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you 🩷

To the teachers, early childhood educators, support staff and care teams who notice the little things:

Thank you for seeing the child, thank your for seeing the heart. Thank you for seeing competence and potential. 🫶🏼✨️

You make a difference that goes beyond the classroom and long after they leave your classroom.

You may have noticed I've been a little quiet lately.
I've recently been recovering from surgery, so I've had to step away from social media for a short time to focus on healing. Thank you for your patience, kindness, and support during this season. 💕

Behind the scenes of Beloved Woods tonight working on Made on Purpose 🩷

This little scene has gone through so many tiny refinements: softening the lantern glow, lowering the contrast, reshaping watercolor textures, adjusting the light filtering through the trees, and making sure every corner feels emotionally safe and gentle to rest in 🌛

This week marked a huge turning point for Made on Purpose 🩷

Not only did I sign a contract with Arkhouse Kids, but I also made the big decision to completely rework the book layout to make it even more accessible for families.

One of the most important changes has been removing printed text directly from the artwork and creating dedicated reading pages designed to better support children and adults with vision challenges, dyslexia, and reading fatigue 🌿📖

Every illustration, every layout adjustment, and every softening choice is being made with care and intention. My deepest prayer is that this story reaches even more hearts and becomes a peaceful, comforting place where everyone can feel seen, safe, and wonderfully made 🩷

The Unseen Mother of David 🌻

She is never named.
