It is with mixed emotions that we announce the farewell of a much-loved member of our early learning community.

Thank you, Steph, for your 8.5 years of dedication, care, and commitment to our children, families, and team. Your warmth, kindness, and positive influence have touched the lives of so many, and your contributions will be remembered long after your time with us.

As you begin an exciting new chapter, we wish you every success, happiness, and fulfillment in the future. You will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of working and learning alongside you.

We are proud to share the completion of our Indigenous mural in our entrance area, a vibrant artwork that reflects the spirit, values, and story of our centre. Created by talented Indigenous artists Les and Maree, this mural is a powerful celebration of culture, connection, and community. We are grateful for their creativity, knowledge, and collaboration in bringing this meaningful piece to life.

We have begun our learning for National Reconciliation Week! The children explored connection, respect, and belonging through storytelling, art, music, and collaborative crafts, helping build understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

📚Story time at Cessnock Library 📚

Our kookaburras have been joining Story time at the local library each Thursday. These sessions are filled with stories, singing, and shared reading, supporting the children’s early literacy skills, listening, and confidence in group participation.

The kookaburras are enjoying being out in the community and we can’t wait to add more excursions to our curriculums.
