Irfan College

Irfan College Irfan College is a Kindergarten to Year 12 co-educational independent Islamic school We believe all children come to school with valuable potential.

Muslim parents know that a good Islamic Education is the best investment that they can provide for their children. Bearing this in mind, Irfan College, was established in 2013 to provide a sound Islamic education in a disciplined environment where the values of Islam are of primary importance. The aim of Irfan College is very simple; we seek to equip students with enough knowledge and confidence t

o put Islamic beliefs, values and morals into practice in their own lives. At Irfan College, children are taught to be proud of their Islamic identity and be proud Australian Muslims. The College aims at the development of the whole person, intellectually, spiritually, socially, and physically and the development of individual talents and abilities. The College motto "Advance Through Knowledge" summarises the values we instil in our students. By attending Irfan College, all students benefit in their academic and spiritual progress and in the development of their self-esteem, in a caring educational and Islamic environment. All curriculum and extra curricula programs aim to:
- Provide the knowledge and skills required by students for their full participation in the affairs of the Australian and world community.
- Support Muslim families in the development of an Islamic consciousness in their children.
- Foster the development of Islamic manners and lover of learning in its students.
- Provide an avenue for the constructive involvement of the Muslim community in issues of education, training and community development. Irfan College also recognises that the purpose of schooling in our current times is to shape and foster multidimensional citizens. It recognises that these citizens live in multicultural societies in a global world. The school philosophy reflects the values and beliefs that permit students to explore their potential to become these citizens, whilst strengthening their Islamic faith commitment. Irfan College school philosophy is also built on certain beliefs we hold about students and their environments in which we expect them to learn. All children have things they can do and all learning experiences must begin from there. Our primary responsibility as educators is to recognise each child's potential and create learning pathways that allow this potential to blossom.

This month, the Irfan College Board met to deliberate on our strategic plan for the next three years. These conversations are guided by a shared commitment to academic excellence and the development of strong akhlaq in every student who walks through our doors.

We're grateful for the dedication of our Board members who give their time to ensure Irfan College continues to grow as a place where knowledge and faith go hand in hand.

Connecting, learning, and growing together at Irfan College! 🌟

As part of his recent visit to our campus, Omar DaCosta Shahid joined our staff for a wonderful morning. The day kicked off with a shared breakfast, a great chance for our team to connect in a casual setting, followed by an insightful executive session.

Moments like these remind us of the power of collaboration and strong leadership within our educational community.

Jazakallahu khair Omar for sharing your time, energy, and valuable perspectives with us!

Our teachers are sharing what it is like to be part of the Irfan College community.

Our curriculum combines Quran, Islamic Studies, Arabic, and Turkish with engaging activities like the Book Parade and Harmony Cup.

Beyond academics, we practice Futuwwah in our classrooms. It guides our intentions, values, and daily interactions, creating a strong and inspirational environment for every student.

Alhamdulillah! We are thrilled to reveal our newly carpeted assembly hall, which will now serve as a primary designated space for our students and staff to gather for daily prayers and spiritual growth.

To complete the sanctuary, the college will be fundraising for three key features: a custom Mihrab, Minbar, and Kursi.

Designed to serve as a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), every prayer offered and lesson shared in this space will carry continuous blessings for the entire Irfan College community.

Our students recently attended a powerful presentation in Irfan College's new assembly hall, encouraging them to become the best version of themselves through faith, strong character, and meaningful action.

The speaker reminded students that Allah (SWT) has created each individual with unique talents and purpose. The presentation highlighted the importance of maintaining a close relationship with Allah, surrounding ourselves with righteous companions, balancing our responsibilities, and striving to leave others in a better state through good character.

At Irfan College, we are committed to nurturing students who excel not only academically, but also spiritually and morally. May Allah (SWT) enable our students to benefit from these reminders and continue growing into compassionate and principled leaders. Ameen.
