Transforming Remote Site Land Management

Meet our workhorse for remote site operations — the eBee X fixed-wing drone!
This robust and reliable drone is compact enough to fit in a backpack, making it perfect for challenging terrains.

Here’s one of our eBee drones descending from a survey assessing pest animal damage in the remote Arafura Swamp of Northern Australia.
The captured imagery will be sent to the NACAS TestLab for AI-assisted object identification, allowing for informed management decisions.
These emerging technologies are revolutionising land management practices across remote Northern Australia.

High-resolution aerial mapping and surveys of Australia's largest wetland…
NACAS researchers recently collaborated with the Arafura Swamp Rangers Aboriginal Corporation to carry out comprehensive high-resolution mapping of feral animal damage of the Arafura Swamp.

Spanning up to 1,300 square kilometres, the Arafura Swamp plays a vital role in supporting local ecosystems by providing habitat and resources for diverse species.

Due to its vast size and remoteness, helicopter transport was essential for accessing the pre-planned drone launch sites.

Just another day in the office for our dedicated NACAS pilots! If you're interested in joining our growing team, we’d love to hear from you.

Innovation meets conservation: Mapping buffalo impact with cutting-edge drone technology! 🐃

In a recent environmental mapping project, our team deployed the S.O.D.A 3D camera on an AgEagle eBee X mapping drone to capture critical data on feral buffalo impact in the Arafura Swamp. With its 20 MP capability and ability to capture images from multiple orientations, we're able to collect visual data that helps monitor environmental impacts. 📸

This late-afternoon shot of buffalo tracks is a perfect example of how advanced drone technology is revolutionising ecological monitoring.

We have lift-off! 🎉

Ready to elevate your skills as we launch into 2025? 🚀 There is still time to apply for our Cert III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) course!

This comprehensive program equips students with the expertise to safely operate drones- skills that can be applied across various commercial sectors, including aerial photography, surveying, agriculture, mining, infrastructure inspection, and more. Upon successful completion, graduates will obtain their Remote Pilot License (RePL), acquiring the proficiency and knowledge to:

✔️ Safely operate remotely piloted aircraft (drones)
✔️ Understand and apply key aviation safety principles
✔️ Operate in compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations
✔️ Plan and execute flights, assessing weather conditions, selecting appropriate equipment, and identifying potential hazards

Airspace Deconfliction: A Crucial Step for Safe Drone Operations.

As the skies become busier with both drones and crewed aircraft, airspace deconfliction and stakeholder engagement has never been more important.

In North Australia, low-flying aircraft operated by military, emergency services, pastoralists, and land managers are a common sight. Without adequate pre-flight coordination, the potential for mid-air collisions increases significantly — posing safety risks and potential financial repercussion.

To mitigate these risks, remote pilots should always consult with local aviation operators to ensure safe separation.
